Craig A. Briner, President

Craig has been actively engaged in the real estate industry for the past 32 years in all facets of the development process. In 1982, he became President of Shannon Properties, Inc., (a wholly owned subsidiary of Dana Corporation) and began targeting speculative real estate development throughout North America. At the peak of operations, Craig oversaw construction of more than 2,000,000 square feet of industrial, warehouse, and office space, and was responsible for more than 700 employees and annual sales that exceeded $90 million. The fallout from the savings and loan crisis resulted in the formation of the Resolution Trust Corporation which led Craig and two other partners to form Urban Resources, Inc. in 1994. This entity typically purchased assets in some form of distress, usually financial, which allowed value creation through the development process. Numerous banks in North Carolina relied upon Urban Resources to help resolve their real estate-owned portfolios. After founding GreenHawk in 2002 with a partner, Craig was responsible for leading the management of over $80 million of equity investments in urban brownfields in Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC. In 2009 GreenHawk Corporation moved forward as an active participant in the financial restructuring of third party loans, stalled real estate projects and other value add opportunities that needed both capital and expertise. Craig holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting and an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
